This charming bowl was made by the Doric China Co. c. 1925 to 1948 and measures 12.5daim x 7cm tall.
It was originally a 'slop bowl'. Tea was once very expensive and after the lady of the house had finished her drink the tea leaves were poured into the bowl for the servants to reuse! 
These days it would make a pretty bonbon dish.
